MEMBERS ONLY Membership Membership Dalhousie Yacht Club is a private club where the facilities are normally open to members only. We have five levels of membership – Full Boating, Life Boating, Associate Boating, Individual Social and Corporate Social. Our facilities include docks on both sides of Twelve Mile Creek, yards for storage, Club House with restaurant and lounge, fuel pumps, pump out station, dry hoist, mast crane and washroom/showers on both sides of Twelve Mile Creek.

An individual that intends to apply must submit an application form, together with the appropriate initiation fee and annual dues, to the club manager. More information on fees and the "Application Form" is available under the "Forms & Docs" heading. Upon approval of the Board of Governors, the new member will be invited to the Club for a tour of the facilities and to receive the "New Member's Package". Boating members enjoy the benefits of a fuel discount and access to the large number of yacht clubs where we have arranged reciprocal rights.

For the sailor interested in racing, DYC has an extensive racing program that includes competitive racing on Wednesday nights, fun racing on Tuesdays and Sundays, organized regattas at our club and intra-club events with other groups around Lake Ontario. DYC also has an established Learn To Sail program that allows children to enjoy an introduction to sailing with a minimum investment in equipment. More information on this program is available under the "Learn To Sail" heading.

The greatest benefit of membership at DYC is your inclusion in our social family. Whether it's a romantic dinner in the restaurant while watching the sun settle on the horizon of Lake Ontario, participation in one of the many social functions engineered by our very active Entertainment Committee or taking part in one of DYC's outreach programs, membership offers you a gateway to a host of new friends and acquaintances. If you feel a need for community and appreciate the offer of a helping hand with a job or problem, then membership at DYC is for you.
